Photography just got that bit more exciting!!
A 1980's Rollei SL66E 6x6 medium format film camera + Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm f2.8 HFT lens (80mm is equivalent to roughly 50mm FL on a 35mm film camera)
I've just finished a studio shoot and shot 2 test rolls of film - 1x Fomapan 400 + 1x Kodak Tri-X 400 (yes something new!) I like 120 Tri-X grain and have ordered a pack ready to use with the SL66. I already had high hopes for this camera even before the postman knocked on the door. The experience of shooting with this beautiful camera is way beyond all expectations. I love it. It has a few tricks up it's sleeve and is not your average 6x6. I hope the test photos come out OK. If they do we're in for a real treat as the photos looked amazing through the waist level viewfinder! I've never taken so few images with my Leica M9 during a shoot. It just couldn't compete.
Photo taken with the trusty Leica M9 + 1973 Leica Summicron 90mm f2 lens
Keep you eyes peeled for 6x6 format images of model Nella to come. They were taken with the SL66.
