This photo is best viewed small/ with a squint!) as it is very soft focus but I still liked the pose and light. To be fair to the J3 it can do sharper images than this so it was not the lenses at fault. Marina was moving and at f1.5 you only have a shallow depth in focus.
It is another example of studio photography on a budget. A J3 can be picked up on eBay for around £100.

Lighting as shot. The older lenses such as the J3 & Industar 26M do flare beautifully if you like that kind of look. The black band on the left of the image is the angle of the light rather than the shutter being too fast
Don't worry, I was using the Leica M9 also. Yesterday I shot with the Leica Summilux ASPH 50 and Leica Summicron 90mm f2 (one of my favourite lenses on the M9). Samples of those to follow + more examples with different Leica M mount lenses on the Lumix G3.
