It’s the time of the season! YES, the annual 2-1/2 weeks of sordid articulation, aka March Madness, is upon us. HA! You thought I was gonna mention spring, didn’t you? NO WAY!! Meet my neighbor’s cat. The reason he’s staring is because he probably remembers all of my ranting’s from the last several years. Look at that face. Oh, yah! He knows what time of year it is.
Since my job only allows for weekend photography, and that’s when the games are usually played, I decided a few years ago that I would take this frustrating time of year off from Flickr so I can ignore my cats, my family, and basically yell and swear at the TV for a couple of weeks (or at least until my bracket has been eliminated). Go Florida! Florida is not my favorite team; they’re who I picked to win the whole freaking thing, only.

This year’s autumn season in Oregon had a late start and it would seem fall will have a late ending, too. Even though I shot this in early November the colors are sticking around longer than normal. Just this past weekend I saw a tree with green leaves still attached.
I photographed this same comp a couple of years ago. While I liked the concept I wasn’t happy with the outcome. So, I thought I’d try it again.

I really enjoy playing with shadows. It was in the evening and the sun was hitting this spot perfectly. Yes, I know. I defeated the purpose of the golden hour sun by converting to black & white. SO!!!!!!!! =)
