Welcome to Hug Point Falls. During the winter months this water fall is abounding gushing 15 feet down onto Arcadia Beach and streaming into the Pacific Ocean. Right now it’s an embarrassing trickle, though. By summer and early autumn it will probably be completely dry, or close to it. I do, however, like all of the surrounding rocks and weathered sandstone. It gives it an otherworldly look and feel.

This is Upper Butte Creek Falls and I photographed it with my iPhone 5. Wanting to capture all of the surrounding greenery I like how the shooting distance makes the 26 foot waterfall look tiny.
