Located in the town of Elgin, Oregon (pop. 1,694), the Elgin Opera House is listed under the name "Elgin City Hall and Opera House" on the National Register of Historic Places. It was dedicated on July 4, 1912 and added to the NRHP on October 10, 1980.

Location: Union, Oregon.
The Historic Union Hotel first opened its doors in 1921 and continues to operate in an era of simplicity. Yep! No phones, televisions or Internet connections of any kind in the rooms. There's cellular phone coverage and power outlets but, that's it. Most of the rooms have large, claw foot tubs. The 16-rooms in the hotel each have themes, too.
Many travelers know this area as the gateway to Hells Canyon, Wallowa Lake, and the bronze-capital town of Joseph. But there's rich history, outdoor adventure, and local cuisine to be discovered here, too.

land her father deeded to her in 1898.
