The Star Theater, formerly known as Princess Theatre and several other names, is a historic former silent film theater in Portland, Oregon. Opened in 1911 it has been many things, anywhere from a film theater as well as a burlesque theater and an adult movie theater with live strippers on stage. In the period of 1979–1983 one of the strippers at the Star Theater was a teenage Courtney Love. It currently functions as a live music and performance space.

One of my favorite Portland buildings. The array of nostalgic multicolored squares has always captured the attention of not only myself but, numerous others who pass by. This is the back view on S.W. 11th Avenue. I photographed the front view located on S.W. 10th Avenue back in 2013. That particular image ended up on the website of RUSH (The Band). The west end of the Marquam Bridge in downtown Portland consists of four ramps: two head east across the bridge, a third goes west while the fourth and final one runs south. I've always liked this underneath view of the four seeming to all merge into one.
