I took this photo of these iconic waterfalls - The Russell Falls - from a different angle to the ones usually seen in the more "touristy" pics, which are generally more front-on to the falls. The water coming over the falls creates a mist, and its' own wind, which makes all of the nearby foliage move, making it difficult to get still foliage in these sorts of longer exposure shots.

Single RAW file processed in Photoshop CS3.

Princes Pier is a 580 metre long, historic pier on Port Phillip, in Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The pier was constructed between 1912 and 1915 by the Melbourne Harbour Trust to supplement the adjacent Station Pier. From completion in 1915 until 1969 it was a major arrival point for new migrants, particularly during the post-war period. In addition to the pier, there was a gatehouse and barriers, terminal building, amenities rooms, goods lockers, ablution blocks, railway sidings and passenger gangways.

This image is a two shot blend, as I wanted the silkiness of the water that a longer exposure (8 seconds) gives, with a static, but brooding sky, rather than the movement that the longer exposure would have produced.

A re-working of my recent post. I have applied some luminosity masking to enhance some of the darker tones, and to lighten the boats without affecting the lighter tones of the sunrise itself. I am very pleased with how it now looks, and will get it printed in the next couple of days on a rag paper.

A view from atop Mt. Wellington across the waterways which surround Hobart. This is a re-worked version of a shot I took on my D70 back in 2007.
