A simple harbor scene I saw walking around beautiful Drøbak near Oslo. De-colored with the GEGL c2g function in The Gimp, it adds some nice film grain to the picture.

Mandrogy village between Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega is mainly built of wood, so there is some need for a fire brigade. Here it is!

De-saturization was again done with The Gimp's GEGL c2g operation, I really like its film grain effect.

Even though it looks very similar, this is not Moscow's famous St. Basil's Cathedral. It is Saint Petersburg's colorful Church of the Savior of the Blood. However, I've decided to try the GEGL c2g filter to emphasize its textures and strong contrasts.
