Built by Oslo-based Snøhetta company the Oslo Opera House was opened on April 14th, 2008. The building is winner of the culture award at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona 2008. Additionally, it received the 2009 Mies van der Rohe award, the European Union prize for contemporary architecture.
