I had my very first sighting of White-tailed Ptarmigan at Highwood Pass along Hwy 40 in Kananaskis. I've been hoping to see these birds for quite some time and finally lucked out today. Hard birds to photograph, but a lot of fun to watch. There were five of them there and they let me get very close, pretty much ignoring me the whole time.
