My very first Long-eared Owl. Seen SE of High River, AB. Another bird to add to the list.
I ended up seeing five species of owl today. The LEO, a Short-eared Owl, a Snowy Owl, a Northern Hawk Owl and a Great Horned Owl. My previous best for one day was four.

Long-eared Owl that's been seen in a local park for the past few days. I heard about it on Tuesday, but couldn't get out until I finished the work week. Luckily, it was still there plus a few photographers to help point it out. This is only the second one I've seen, first was Dec 2013, so it's been a bit of a dry spell.
