I've seen these two Harlequin's at the bird sanctuary before. They never seem to hang out close enough for a good shot.

Day 29 of 365, didn't go far today, working 12 hour shifts this weekend, not a lot of time between work and sleep, so it was the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary today which is about 10 minutes from my place. Was watching this mass of Mallards when a Harlequin Duck swooped in. Haven't seen one since last spring. Anyway, spot the Harlequin and win an all expense paid...ah no, just spot the duck.

Not exactly the greatest shot, but the closest I've got to a decent shot of a harlequin duck. Seen on the Bow River at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary.

Although I've seen Harlequin Ducks a few times in the past, today was the first time I've managed to get a good look at them. I saw two males at Lower Kananaskis Lake in K-Country today. Nice looking ducks.
