It was a "great" day in more ways than one today. Went NW to the Water Valley area today looking for a couple specific birds. Found both of them as well as a few others.
First time bird. WHOO HOO!!!
Went looking for these Sandhill Cranes based on Flickr buddy Eddy's report. Thank you Eddy, they were right where you said they would be. I didn't find them in the morning, but decided to try later when I saw that the weather had gotten much nicer. Glad I did! Very cool birds, and hard to spot. They blend in almost perfectly in those tall reeds.
