One thing I've noticed the last couple of days walking around Shannon Terrace in Fish Creek Park is that there are seeds for the birds everywhere. Spent about 15 minutes sitting by this tree stump taking shots of the birds as they come and go filling up their bellies. A lot of fun to watch, really.

This female Pileated Woodpecker was so busy looking for food, she let me get within ten feet of her. She just totally ignored me and went about her business. I have never been this close to one of these birds before. I even managed to remember to get some video with my P90.

With all the "bird in the hand" shots I've been taking I figured I should a video to show just how tame these guys are. Only got one vid today, but I will do more. These guys are fast, note how quickly the last two chickadees come and go.
