Trip to BC - Day 1, June 29, 2009.

I'll warn you all now, I took a lot of shots(4000+), I'll try to whittle them down to a manageable amount, but I will likely end up posting quite a few because I have a hell of a time not posting a shot I like. I'm going to post these by days just like any normal shooting day to ease my insanity.

I felt like such a tourist taking this shot!

Taken at Takakkaw Falls near Field BC.

These guys can be very aggressive at campgrounds, one flew down and tried to snatch a sandwich from a ladies hand.

These falls are just east of Field BC.

Takakkaw Falls (pronounced /ˈtækəkɔː/) is a waterfall located in Yoho National Park, near Field, British Columbia, in Canada. Its highest point is 384 m (1260 feet), making it the second-highest officially measured waterfall in western Canada, after Della Falls on Vancouver Island. However its true "free-fall" is only 254 m.

"Takakkaw" is derived from the Cree word for "it is wonderful". The falls are fed by the Daly Glacier which is part of the Waputik Icefield. The glacier keeps the volume of the falls up during the warm summer months, and are a tourist attraction, particularly in late spring after the heavy snow melts, when the falls are at peak condition.
