The Smallest of the Owls in North America, These lil guys were heard on calm Nights in the Mountainous canyons, Tough to Find even though they are rather loud for there size.
This one was spotted by following its call and the use of a bright flashlight in the dark canyon areas around Tucson.
Caution needed to be taken due to all the Cacti, loose rock and Rattlesnakes in the area.

Once found we used a flashlight to help gain auto focus, then with manual fill flash to expose the owl in its Cavity.
This particular Owl was 20' up in a Saguaro Cactus, we gain elevation by climbing a Cliff to gain a better shooting angle on the Cavity.
