A Dream come true today for several of us. To find and Photograph a Ruby Throated Hummingbird nest.
Thanks goes out to Matthew Studebaker for the Invite and the location of the nest. And to Joshua Clark for accompanying us to Photograph this amazing opportunity.
The weather and light held out for us, the stars aligned and everything came together.
I have a ton of images to sort through but here are a few that stood out to me early on.

Thought I would share one of the female on the Purple flower as well from the same setup! She can be pretty bossy and often runs the males off the feeders.
I have been working with these in some pretty close proximity, I have had them eat from the feeders with me as close as 12" away. dont have any eating from my hand yet but trying, I have had them land on my lens and my finger, but not eat. All Provided Movement is slow and methodical.

A Black Chinned Hummingbird from Bill Forbes place at Madera Canyon in Tucson Arizona.

The scenery at this location was breathtaking as was the diversity of birds coming into his feeding stations.
The morning and especially evening light here is nothing short of amazing with clean backgrounds.

With established hummingbird feeders we seen Rufous,Magnificant,Anna,Broad Billed, and Balck Chinned Hummingbirds with Rufous, Annas and Mags the less significant comers to the feeding stations.

Backgrounds were natural grasses and natural light were used for ecposure.

I Revisited this image and decided to go for a tighter crop , the distracting branches above I felt did not add anything to the image but the leaves did. I did clone the leaf touching the adult birds head to give space around her.
