I think maybe the background is soft because of the rain.
I'd been standing lower down Chrome waiting for the sun to break through the cloud.
It didn't look like it would so headed up to the top and saw the there was a tiny gap above the horizon. When the sun dropped into it, the light was amazing. I took some shots into the rain and then ran back down to shoot this scene.

A two shot panorama of the inversion that covered a lot of the Peak District a couple of weeks ago.
I think it would have been great to stay here until the sun rose and lit up fog. But I pressed on with my walk.
