Brahmeshvara temple at Bhubaneswar was built by Kolavati Devi, the mother of Somavamsi king Udayalakesari in the year 1060 A.D. The temple consists of a rekha duela and pidha Jagamohana. The exterior of the duela is lavishly sculpted with different forms of Siva such as Nataraja,Bhairava and Ardhanarisvara. This is the second temple at Bhubaneswar with internal embellishments in the Jagamohana, the first being Muktesvara temple
