A pair of Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) in the unusually green waters off of Bimini Island in the Bahamas.
Stenella frontalis are fast and acrobatic swimmers, typically forming pods of 5 to 50 animals. Their characteristic spots show up after their first birthday and develop more as they age.
Each animal has a unique spot pattern that makes it easy to identify individuals for research.
