During the morning hours yesterday the ice on the pond at school had this beautiful clear, glassy sheen. By the time I left in the afternoon, the whole surface was frosted like the back part here.

After two snow days off of school, following a three-day holiday weekend, we were back to school today, but definitely not to the same old routine. Minimester started this morning in single digit temps, but it was sunny and little wind so my Photography girls managed to stay out for a while. Many of the girls did not have enough layers and lasted about 15 minutes. Ellie here was dressed for the slopes and dove, quite literally, into her first shots. I went through her set from the day and found what she was shooting. It wasn't her best shot, but definitely the most creative one I saw. This shot of her was my favorite that I took. Also, we are carrying over two more days into next week, so we'll get the full amount of days after all.

Today was barn day with my photography class. Another morning of single digits did not keep us from our appointed rounds. We spent a while taking indoor pictures in the barn, and then the hardy ones still out were treated to these great scenes after they let the horses out into the pasture. It was such a blast to see them running around like crazy!
