A few miles from the main battlefield is the historic Pry farm house that is now the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. The house was headquarters for the Union Commander and was also used as a field hospital.
This was opened as a museum in the spring of 2005. A few weeks before it opened, another teacher and I took a half dozen of our Middle School students out here to help with cleaning to get the house ready. This was my first time back since it opened.
