While walking near the beach at Crab Park I noticed a lot of bees flying near the ground. As I started photographing them I realized they were building nests in the loose sand!

Had a fun morning!! All these birds showed up in my back yard this morning. The flicker is a rare visitor and the varied thrush is a first time visitor. Below are the individual shots.

I put out peanuts for the Steller's Jays and they always try to stuff two in their mouth. It isn't always successful but is fun to watch.
