Preserved former Tyne and Wear PTE Metro-Cammell bodied Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1, 218 (KBB118D), pictured at the North East Bus Preservation Trust's annual MetroCentre Bus and Coach Display on the 7st May 2023..

Originally new to Newcastle Corporation Transport in 1966 as a conventional closed top double decker, the Atlantean passed to its successors the PTE on its formation in January 1970. During 1974 the vehicle was rebuilt as an open topper and in 1977 was painted into a special livery to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee in which guise it has now been restored in.
