On 16 July 2001, Utrecht University started the construction of the new University Library in the central area of the Uithof campus (now called Utrecht Science Park).
On 1 September 2004, the University Library opened its doors to the public. The official opening took place in the spring of 2005.
The building was designed by the renowned Dutch architect Wiel Arets. The University Library Uithof has been voted one of the world's most beautiful libraries by CNN.

View of the north side of the "Tre Cime di Lavaredo" (three peaks of Lavaredo, Drei Zinnen), one of the most famous mountains in the Dolomites. Near the alpine hut "Langalm" (known as "Long-Olbe" in the South Tyrolian dialect), traditional prayer flags from Nepal and Tibet were fastened, almost giving the feeling of being in the Himalayas !
The hut is located at an altitude of 2283 m.
In 2009 the Dolomites were added to the Unesco world heritage list as UNESCO World Natural Heritage.

It must refer to the celebration of 190 years of this parish.
In 1832, the plantation Barber was sold to the Roman Catholic Church.
Mgr. Niewindt built the first church outside Willemstad in Barber in 1827 (not this church) for slaves and former slaves in this part of the island and translated and published one of the first publications (a Chatechism in 1926) in Papiamentu language.
