I have always wanted to find this species and finally got them in Manas National Park, India. The Sultan Tit is probably not closely related to true parids, and will require further molecular work to sort out its true relationships. We found a small flock of these working the upper canopy.

This is the only Rufous-naped Tit we observed at near 7500 feet in the Himalayas. This is a record photo s it surprised us and then flitted off. Near Pangot, Uttarakhand, India.
