Photos were taken at the infamous Patagonia Rest Stop (where I first saw this species in 1979) south of the town of Patagonia Arizona. It is very local in riparian areas of only a few rivers and streams in Southeastern Arizona. However it has been expanding its range since first observed in the US in the 1950s.
