Tis bird was so cooperative that we were able tofilm it using our cell phones. It is foraging on Hackberry in Cave Creek Canyon, Arizona. Their calls too were unique.

I got to witness a really cool event when probably 300 or more Blue Jays staged at Whitefish Point prior to making the flight north across Lake Superior. I did not realize that Blue Jays migrated in flocks like this. All of the calls and motion everywhere. Both Coopers and Sharp-shinned hawks were also in good numbers along with Merlin. Probably waiting for a jay to lower its guard. It is so great to learn something new every time I am in the field. Whitefish Point, Upper Peninsula, Michigan.
