With two enchanted mallards. We took a walk round two local nature reserve lakes this morning, and this was one of the photos I took. Struck by the reflections and the two lovers gazing at each other, how could I resist? I hope you like it too.

~ Edited in Topaz Studio with a light texture from Picmonkey ~

As always, thanks for your comments and faves and for simply viewing. Have a wonderful weekend and week ahead everyone !

It's all so green here. Yes, this was taken at almost the same place on the same day as my last upload. But look at those wonderful yellow irises, the lush vegetation, the sunlight and dappled shadows. I was in heaven .... Marnie by my side, enjoying it too. What could be better?

Sorry you're getting so many landscapes from me - hope you're not getting tired of them. I hope you like this one. Have a happy Friday everyone. A happy Fence Friday !!

Yesterday, my friend Val and I visited Coughton Court, near Alcester, Warwickshire. We didn't have enough time to visit all of it, as it's vast ! Guy Fawkes and his fellow Roman Catholic Royalists rode here for safety, after being discovered as the perpetrators of the failed attempt to blow up Parliament and assassinate King James 1 in 1605. Eventually caught, their fate was horrible. Won't go into details... too distressing.
The Coughton estate was owned by the Throckmorton family since 1409. It's now owned by the National Trust. It's the only Roman Catholic Stately home in England. What a history this place has - far too much to take in in one afternoon .. must make a return visit ! As you can imagine, I took many photographs here. Sadly, never got to visit the extensive gardens. Next time, eh? The geotag doesn't seem to be working at present on Flickr, sorry. Postcode B49 5JA if you fancy a visit.

Hope you like this one - more to come when I can !

And thanks to you too my Flickr friends for your views and comments. Each one is truly appreciated.

We sat on the edge of the bank and basked in the sunshine. A magic morning with Marnie. After a while she jumped down and took a drink from the wonderfully clear water, then came up to join me again.

This is Powell's Pool in Sutton Park, the far end of the lake from Boldmere Gate. Can't use the location map !

I do hope you like my painting, done in Topaz Studio and finished off in PicMonkey. I haven't done much to it - this is just the way it is. Perhaps you remember this song - I liked it then and I like it now !

The Way It is - Bruce Hornsby and the Range

Thanks for your comments and faves and just for looking - always appreciated so much !

Here's my interpretation of this morning's walk with Marnie. I didn't take my camera with me, so I photographed this with my Samsung phone. We were just entering the park when a herd of cows appeared, running down to take a drink in Powell's Pool in Sutton Park. After they'd had a drink they all settled down and had a bask in the lovely sunshine. It was delightful ! So I did a painting. Hope you like it !

Every summer cows are permitted to graze in Sutton Park, many people objecting, as they leave their large cow pats. Dogs do like to roll in them, but thankfully, Marnie does not. She rolls in other things, but not cow pats !

Sutton Park is a National Nature Reserve and cows help to keep the grass and weeds to a minimum in certain areas.

Thanks as always for your wonderful friendship - Happy and peaceful trouble-free weekend and week ahead.
