There are many animals who need another home. We have found a female Japanese Spitz in that position. Her name is Marnie. She will live here after we fetch her on Wednesday 27th February.

So we can make her as happy as possible in her new home with us, I won't be on Flickr nearly as much for a while. I hope you will understand and have patience. Many of you will know what's involved and how it will change my life. Our beloved Zak died on 1st February and we need another to partly fill that enormous hole he left in our hearts. Marnie isn't a replacement, but another who needs us and we can love.

This is our new member of the family, Marnie. I was going to call this picture Foxy Face! We're all getting to know each other and she's still insecure. She needs lots of reassurance and loving, so she is quite demanding at present - it's early days. This was taken on her first afternoon with us, already made her bed on mine !
Marnie is beautiful, affectionate, and intelligent. She's a Japanese Spitz and has had 3 litters of puppies. Enough puppies for her.... 'enough is enough' as her previous owners said. Thank you for giving her to us Steph and Carly ... we'll always love her.

And thank YOU, too, all of you who have expressed your sympathy and empathy on the loss of our Zak... Marnie isn't a replacement, but another who needs and has our love. Thanks everyone.

Not known for dramatic mountains or tumbling waterfalls, but it's where I live and I don't mind too much ! Spring is wonderful here, and these cows are certainly enjoying the warmer, lighter days. We're all so glad Spring is here at last ! Let's rejoice ! Sure, we'll have more rain ... but that's what makes our island green.

There is a plum tree in my neighbour's garden. It's smothered in these beautiful blossoms. I took their mail in while they were on holiday so nipped into the garden to take a few pics - the blossom looked so lovely all covered in raindrops. High winds haven't stripped it off - I can see it now from my window and it calls "Spring" to me !

with Marnie. We set out early to enjoy the spring sunshine and I took her to the places I went to with Zak. It was quiet and lovely and we both enjoyed being together. I've taken many pictures of this lovely boardwalk - can't seem to get enough of it. Many apologies if you're tiring of it !
