Golden leaves surround my front door now autumn's set in. Looking up from just inside my doorway when I got home from the supermarket - couldn't resist it. Soon the leaves will be gone, so grabbed the camera and made the most of it !! I don't know what this huge climbing plant is, as we planted it so long ago. Every summer I have to lean out of the top windows and cut it back about every five days - it grows so fast and makes its way into the open windows and clogs the gutters if I'm not careful !! I do love it !!
If anyone has an ID I'd be grateful to know what it is. Each leaf is about 1.5" across.

Edited in Topaz Studio and textured with one of my own which has been in my textures folder for years and not used before.

... about this flower ! I THINK it's a form of verbena. Part of a huge shrub, it grows on the other side of the fence from our back door and when not in bloom, sometimes smells revolting, like rotting meat. Each bloom is about 7.5cm (3 inches) across and each floret, around 7mm or a quarter of an inch across. Does anyone know? The leaves are like small laurel leaves.

They keep turning up, every year. Bluebells and whitebells, from my garden, which is smothered in them ! They're fading a bit now, so I took this photo, painted and textured them in Topaz Studio. I love them, which is just as well, as they keep turning up every year ... time after time.

Here's a REAL oldie for you. Probably recorded before some of us were born, but my sister has always loved this - and so do I.

Given to me by our next door neighbour over the garden fence - to keep ! A giant allium seed head, at least 9 inches across. My husband took a photo and allowed me to use it, so I hope you (and he) like the way I've presented it. I think it's a wonderful gift. Thank you Sue and John Next Door !
