I am celebrating! In the past couple of days my laptop and iPhone have been severely disabled ... big worry! Both fixed (I think!) this morning so this is a celebratory picture! Took these lovely water lilies at Plantsbrook Nature Reserve - barely a 7 minute drive from my home - yesterday afternoon. What a lovely place it is... I'll be making another visit for sure! Thanks for your patience while I've been very slow keeping up!

Anyone seen my machete? The green waters of a lake in Plantsbrook Nature Reserve - a real jungle in every sense of the word. Had a lovely couple of hours there ... a little oasis on the outskirts of our 'Second City' - Birmingham. Who would believe it? Only the splashing of the water birds, otherwise.... silence. A willow bends towards the water, ivy climbing up its trunk.

A brand new early autumn day at our local nature reserve. The stars are beginning to fade, one by one. I thought this scene so beautiful I made a panorama.
