A very rugged and wild coast where in the past there were a tuna fish factory and a mine whose ore was brought to the seashore to be embarcked into small sailing vessels. In the foreground you can see some ruins of the mining compound.

Here I liked the textures of the rocks and of the ancient walls, and the contrast between the sea and the cliff. I wish I had a better camera to record this scene.

La torre (detta anche inizialmente Torre di San Nicolò) veniva iniziata a costruire nel 1765 ma ancora nel 1777 non era compiuta. Fu ultimata solo nel 1785. La torre sorvegliava l’ingresso della spiaggia di Cala Domestica in cui era un porticciolo d’imbarco dei minerali provenienti dalle varie miniere della zona. Durante la seconda guerra mondiale fu utilizzata come posto di osservazione.

The tower was built between 1765-1785 to guard a small harbour in the beach of Cala Domestica (Near Bugerru) which was a loading place for the ores from the nearby mines.
