Yup, real human beings, voluntarily subjecting themselves en mass to the scariest fairground swing ride I have ever seen. The machine reaches quite a speed at the bottoms of each cycle. Note, they're not wearing shoes. Presumably the operators have long since learned that at these speeds, centrifugal force can wrench shoes off feet.
