We had just started our drive when when we were surprised with an early morning visitor. Etosha is known for it's very large elephants and we are always thrilled to see them. One year when Namibia was suffering from a water shortage the elephants headed to ares where they were able to find a little water and we did not see any that year. It was diappointing but a terrible time for all the animals in need of water. Fortunately things are better now.
