The River Itchen flows adjacent to the Cathedral in Winchester; its various tributaries flooded severely in recent years, causing extensive damage in the city. Thuis 28 mile-long river is considered to be one of the world's best fishing rivers, because of its unusual chalk hydrology - or do I mean geology?

This well-preserved "Stick" Victorian is in the small town of Osceola Iowa.
"According to McAlester & McAlester (1984), the Stick Style represented a transition from the Gothic Revival to the later Queen Anne style. On stick-style buildings, the wall surface itself is emphasized with ornament, identified most prominently with the diagonal or straight stickwork applied to the facade."
