Belly of the Dragon is a man-made cave-like tunnel, about 0.5 miles round trip through the tunnel and back, located just 20 miles east of Zion National Park.
It was originally created to divert water under Hwy-89. Over time, drainage from upper canyon water flow has carved the walls and created a picturesque rippling tunnel of sandstone.
Unfortunately, as you can clearly see in the photo, there was a lot of graffiti and carvings on the rock!
A huge THANKS to everyone who took your time to view, fave, and/or comment on my last post; wishing you all the very best! 😘😘😘
PS: Sorry for the re-post, it seems there was a problem with the original post (published 9 hours ago) receiving a very low viewership: 23 views in 8 hours. It used to be a problem with my photos but hasn't happened for over 2+ years, so I hope it was just a one-time hiccup.
