This was shot in June of last year at a festival in Telluride. The first two days of the festival saw many storms, even festival evacuations due to lightning. But, at the higher elevations, the precip was actually snow. It was quite scenic, particularly after the sun came out and made viewing possible, rather than running for cover.

Autumn at Yosemite National Park. There are several separate periods of color change at Yosemite, and I ended up in between a couple. That's part of the challenge of visiting from a long way away. The Maples were peak yellow, and the oaks were just changing. The water falls are at their normal yearly low flow, soon to transition to the next season. Always scenic.

Eastern Sierra Nevada. Finally returned here for first time in many years. I had missed this canyon last time, arguably one of the Sierra's best, and it was rewarding to make it this time. The area had received some fresh snow during the previous week, and some of it was still around on the high peaks.
