This is a view from Old Street Railway Station to City Road, London.
The very tall building is the Atlas Building, 145 City Road. to the left and producing something of a geometrical illusion is the Montcalm Hotel. The red brick building is Imperial hall.
When we caught the tube at Bank having walked from Monument the weather above ground was wet to say the least but reaching street level at Old Street station everything was bathed in clear spring sunshine, hence the deep blue sky which was an amazing contrast.

Baddersley Clinton, a moated late 16th century manor house. Located in Warwickshire, UK.
The house was owned for some 500 years by the Ferrers family and is particularly interesting for it's "priest holes". These were hiding places where those holding to the Catholic faith secreted themselves from priest hunters in the 1590s when Protestant Elizabeth 1st was on the throne of England. A late summer image.

20 years back, I remember 30 St Mary's Axe (The Gherkin) being erected in London and it was prominent, you couldn't miss it but since then every time I visit the city of London, there's a new building. I thought, I'd set my camera wrong, everything seemed blue or grey and then I realised it's because the skyline is now glass and concrete with a bit of aluminium and stainless steel. The building to the right is 20 Fenchurch Street (The Walkie Talkie) or as my wife describes it, the wonky loaf of bread. The building with all the pipes and services which looks like a runaway chemical works is I believe Lloyds of London. The image was taken from the top of the Monument. A 131 step tower to commemorate the great Fire of London.
