Some days it seems to take forever for the sun to rise. On occasion, those days bring wonderful surprises.
Climbing up the hill, I noticed a sphinx appearing to guard nothing in particular on the right side of the photograph. So I knew it must be important.
I kept climbing the cliffside paths and stairs until I reached this drowsy platform.
Breathing in the crisp spring air and gazing over the crowded cluster of overflowing colors and intricate hovels that have infiltrated the serenity of the white houses, I listened through my entire soul. So quiet, so inviting.
Eventually, I could smell the roasted sounds of breakfast burbling as people began to stir behind the blue doors.
I took this photograph and smiling deep inside and headed home, satisfied by what I found but still hungry for more...
