A Brown Creeper looks out from behind the bark of an old tree where it (and its mate ) is building a nest . The very tiny Brown Creeper build its nest behind the bark of a tree to conceal it.. much like the creeper itself who is a master of camouflage ( easier to see when the white breast is showing...when turned around the back feathers blend right into its environment)...I always hear them before I see them and I don't always see them in any case.

A Brown Creeper arrives at the cavity that accesses its very well hidden nest ( they build their nests behind the raised bark of a tree). It hesitates but then enters the cavity to feed its young. A master of camouflage in every sense....

Terrific camouflage on this tiny bird. I almost never see them unless I hear one first...and even then they can be tough to spot.
