My son was cutting the front lawn this past Summer and the noise from the mower scared this baby white tail rabbit from its nest under a ( fitting) Nesting Spruce. It sat here at the base of a pine tree,
It would fit in the palm of your hand and eventually was coaxed back to its nest. along with a second baby that wandered out. Canon 7D and Canon 100 2.8

A Muskrat gets comfortable in its habitat. A lot of these guys fell prey last year to a Great Horned Owl in the area.

This otter snorted his/her alarm at my presence along the river bank a few days ago. Wish I had had better light ( it started raining ) but was nice to see this and one otter. Canon 7D and Canon 400F5.6 I think they were/ are rooming in one of the beaver lodges as they are known to do that with or without beavers.
