A shot from winter's past of an American Robin that over wintered at Mud Lake in Ottawa along with several others......berries on the menu. Canon 7D and 500F4...several robins are over wintering there again this year.

Not unusual to see these birds toss and catch a berry. I've seen them do it with snow as well ...this is an older image and I'm hoping to see some of these beautiful (super fine feathered) Bohemian Waxwings this Winter.

A teeny tiny Brown Creeper pauses for a millisecond at the base of a Birch tree. These little perpetual motion machines can be frustrating to photograph but lots of fun, especially when they come into the sun :-)
