Another older image and a situation where/when I had a Canon 500 and 1.4 XTC for 700mm on a 7D for small birds coming to one of my feeders. . I was up against a fence and this mature male Coopers hawk came in behind the fence and landed on the perch I had set up for finches. 700mm was way too much lens and I fired of just a few head shots before he clued in and made a hasty exit. ...ps flash was used for fill in high speed synch at -1 flash compensation...close to full frame.
