Quinta dos Loridos, where the impressive Buddha Eden - the largest oriental garden in Europe, can be found. The oriental garden with around 35 hectares of land was created as a reaction to the destruction of the Buddhas of Banyan, in which one of the greatest acts of cultural barbarity took place, erasing masterpieces of late-period Gandhara art.

Macedo de Cavaleiros é uma cidade portuguesa, pertencente ao Distrito de Bragança e Terra de Miranda, Região Norte e subregião do Alto Trás-os-Montes, com cerca de 6 000 habitantes. É sede de um município com 699,27 km² de área e 17 449 habitantes (2001), subdividido em 38 freguesias. O município é limitado a norte pelo município de Vinhais, a nordeste por Bragança, a leste por Vimioso, a sul por Mogadouro e Alfândega da Fé, a sudoeste por Vila Flor e a oeste por Mirandela.



Macedo de Cavaleiros is a Portuguese city, belonging to the District of Bragança and Terra de Miranda, Northern Region and subregion of the High Trás-os-Montes, with about 6 000 inhabitants. It is the seat of a municipality with 699.27 square kilometers in area and 17 449 inhabitants (2001), subdivided into 38 parishes. The municipality is limited to the northern city of wines, by Bragança northeast, east by Vimioso, south by Mogadouro and Customs of the Faith, in the southwest and west of Vila Flor Mirandela.
