Deep rooting up of soil by night intruder: Hog-nosed Skunk. Nearly up rooting this tree! LOL!

A little tricky getting these shots. She was aggressive about her hunting, chased my cat and jumped at me then resumed her hunting indicating she was not rabid. Her hunting was centered on turning over objects and rummaging underneath objects like this five gallon plastic can, also newly fallen leaves. She also checked out a Billy Beer can. A very handsome flower.

Last two photographs are of overturned soil and turf, aftermath of overnight foraging. Result of digging almost rivals that of feral pigs. Most likely finding larva, insects and other invertebrates in the soil.
