Everything came together for this shoot. Light and wind were working in tandem. I picked the right spot with good cover. Many live ducks became part of the decoy spread which served to draw more and more birds. Amazing!

Prothonotary Warbler ~ (Protonotaria citrea)

We don't get a lot of singing springtime warbler action here in the Tampa area. Most of them head north for that. But these Prothontary Warblers have been nesting at a local park for as long as I have lived here. When they call, it certainly makes it easier to find them!

I have photographed many Wood Ducks at metroparks and a friends pond but this was by far the best opportunity with the normally wary woody in wilds of the NW Ohio. marshes.
