A few minutes after checking into my room, this Golden-olive Woodpecker flew into the wild tobacco tree next to my porch. I grabbed my camera and got a few shots. I’m glad I did, because it was high on my target list and I saw them all week but never got closer than this one. They are beautiful birds. About the size of our Hairy. Not a bad start to the trip.
