Sunrise in Zermatt taken from the Riederweg trail. After several days of heavy snow blocking all exits out of Zermatt, waking up to this was incredible. If you look close enough to the left you can see a helicopter doing controlled explosions to reduce the avalanche risk.

Sunrise on the Matterhorn and village of Zermatt in Switzerland. Days of heavy snow and then rain had caused avalanches to block the tracks in and out of Zermatt, which meant we had been stuck for days. However, when you wake up finally to this there's worse places you could be stuck. This one is a bit later in the morning on a previous image.
