I went to the lake early in the morning avoiding the crowd, and came across this young Pied-billed Grebe happily foraging for food. An expert diver, it would sink and submerge underwater hardly making a ripple. I waited for a short while and caught it suddenly surface much closer to me than I was expecting. It didn't spot me for a few seconds, so I had the chance to grab a few shots of it looking about.
